Science -
The focus of 7th
grade is life science. The Holy Trinity Catholic
Middle
School science curriculum incorporates specific content
areas for each grade level. Our curriculum supports
the sequence and prepares them to schedule Biology
as a ninth grader. Teachers incorporate the scientific
method with hands on activities including laboratory
experiments.

Mathematics -
Seventh Grade mathematics
is a bridge between arithmetic and algebra. Topics include
operations with whole numbers, decimals, fractions,
and integers. Students will use these operations to
manipulate simple algebraic expressions and solve one-and
two-step
equations. Concepts such as ratio, proportion, percent,
statistics, and graphing are explored in real life
applications. Students will also learn to use geometric
formulas to
find perimeter, area, and volume. All seventh grade
math classes use Glencoe Pre-Algebra or Course II with
accompanying
workbooks.
